Hard to tell the exact serial number, depending on how you hold the gun. If I hold the gun and look at the serial number on the bottom of the handle - and the barrel is pointing to my left the serial number is 60699. . Komxzer1670376677
The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson does not list serial numbers for AR's. You'll have to contact S&W customer service to get a manufacture date. The book shows serial numbers for the 34 as 11000 in 1955 and 52673 in 1959. Since S&W began stamping model numbers in 1957 your 34 would likely be ~1958. As far as the 34-1, it shows serial number 135464 in 1969 with the serial numbers transitioning to M prefix (starting with M1) that same year.They didn't assemble or sell any of these until 1966 plus the steel frame Model 39s fall into three different serial number ranges. That is why Smith & Wesson collectors "never say never" when asked if S&W ever made a certain configuration or variation.
